The introvert comfort zone
Introverts are out of their comfort zone at least 80% of the time when in public, at work, and even socializing. It seems to be a constant drain on your energy.
You'd much rather be soaking up the bliss in your comfort zone.
But when there's work to do, people to see (yikes) and things that can't be avoided, the last thing you want to give up is your comfort zone. It's the one thing that makes you feel safe and secure, comfortable in your own skin so that you can be your authentic self.
Yet, it's not realistic when life needs you to take action and be amongst people. But what if you could take a piece of your comfort zone with you? Even just a teeny, tiny little piece. Would that be helpful?
When I have to be out in public and talk with strangers it helps me to have something that reminds me of the security and comfort I have waiting for me at home.
Here are 3 things you can do to take your comfort zone with you:
1. Wear your favourite essential oil or perfume.
Spritze yourself with intention and that fragrance will be a reminder that you are right where you need to be and everything is just fine.2. Carry a crystal (pocket, purse, bra) or wear it as jewelry.
Before you leave your home, sit with the crystal and pour your intention into it. Crystals have a micro-crystalline structure that helps to contain your energetic vibration.5 crystals I recommend for Introverts:
Amethyst: for protection, to connect with your inner awareness and calm your thoughtsBlack Tourmaline: keeps your energy clear, transmutes negativity and helps to gently groundFluorite: for clarity, clearing your energy field and for mental awarenessCitrine: great for enhancing courage and confidenceSmoky Quartz: uplifting and grounding to keep your emotions clear and steady3. Listen to music that soothes your soul.
Listening to your favourite music while you're out can bring a sense of familiarity that helps you extend that comfort zone energy. You can create a playlist of songs that uplift, calm, motivate, etc. You can listen during your commute or while you're working. It helps to choose songs for the emotions you want to invoke and the tasks you need to accomplish.
Now you can see how simple yet powerful it can be to incorporate any of the above suggestions into your day. Use one or all of them to invoke a sense of comfort and familiarity so that you can be out in the world and feel confidently yourself.
The more you embody that comfort zone energy, you build trust in that inner confidence and feel content no matter where you are and what you are doing.
Go ahead introvert, take that comfort zone with you!
